My body is not a temple For you to walk in and out of To wash away your sins Or grant your wishes My body is not a temple Touching is not praying Falling down on your knees Is not the same as pushing me down on mine My body is not a temple So don't sit on my skin Asking to me give you something

You cannot give yourself.

One morning I went for a walk down the street and found a very beautiful looking building and as I ventured in, I discovered that it was a temple. I just walked in with no fore thought because I love places of worship. They always have a calming sort of effect on me. I began to hesitate only after realising that the people around were starring and shooting looks of disapproval toward me. It took me a couple of minutes to figure that people were looking at me funny because of what I was wearing, a blue sari blouse that I designed and orange pants from Promod. I exposed the same amount of skin anybody in a blouse and ghagra or a saree would end up showing. But people react oddly to things they haven't seen before, with no rationalisation. I don't know if they felt threatened or were just confused, but it turned out to be a pretty fun afternoon and I got some not-so-bad pictures out of it.

Ra

You cannot give yourself.
